PghReggae: Tell us a little about yourself ,Butta and Orio

Vybz: Well me is a yute from Savanna la Mar jamaica who love reggae music from morning. Butta and Orio a mi two breddren from Dominica . Orio is di hip hop man, when vybz a run some wicked hip hop more than likely Orio at di controls. Butta is more of a soca man and mic man but when it come time fi di real dancehall reggae ting yu done know who run dem segment deh.

PghReggae: When did you start ?

Vybz: Well we very young inna di business still we start Aug 2004. You can call us the new kids on the block. We come fi lock di block though. memba dat!

PghReggae: Why did you get into the sound business?

Vybz: Well honestly every time I went home (Jamaica) and came back to a local party I was disappointed. No new music. It seemed as if every weekend was an old hits thing so we decide fi change that.

PghReggae: Are you a clash sound or a juggling sound?

Vybz: Right now its all about the mad jiggy dancing enjoy yourself juggling ting. But the dub collection growing so if a man wah start a ting weh Assassin say? " We are not afraid!"

PghReggae: Have you played outside of Pittsburgh?

Vybz: Not yet. Right now we just blazing it locally but we are planning a date in Chicago and we are working with some friends in Germany fi run a vybz party in Germany yu done know.

PghReggae: Which sounds have you played alongside?

Vybz: We run some wicked party with most a di local sound dem. GreenRose, Gangsta Shack, First Class,Donsville, Shashamane Intl. We play alongside New Horizon from Cleveland...

PghReggae: Any upcoming parties?

Vybz: Dec 18 we and Detonate and Blaze a fire at VIP. On Dec 24th (Christmas Eve) a big big dance Killa Face a come from Chicago and Gangsta Shack and Vybzmachine aggo deh deh.

PghReggae: What can we expect from Vybzmachine in the future?

Vybz: More college parties, more hardcore dancehall parties, more spreading reggae music,more dub plates, one or two sound killings, MORE VYBZ !!!

PghReggae: What makes Vybzmachine different from the rest?

Vybz: From the sounds in Pittsburgh? Younger Selectors, more energy, more dancing. more new tunes, different vybz.

Vybz: Not yet but working towards it

Vybz: Well right now I can't say for sure. Each sound has certain things going real well for them. Strika 1 have some hot dubplate and 2 wicked selector. Levicticus, when him string him sound beat sweet. Gangsta Shack, Green Rose and First Class have dem crowd so when dem play out di vibes nice. Shashamane full a dub plate. Mi never hear Vicious Sound play yet but mi hear seh him full a new tune. Donsville (Worldwide) wicked pon di mic so every man have dem ting. Vybzmachine right now inna a learning stage. We plan fi get all the good features from each sound and incorporate it into our ting. After we do dat den a VYBZMACHINE aggo be di top man. Rememba dat!!!
