            Two vans, eight people, and an immense amount of energy. They were ready. They traveled on route to Ohio, knowing that this was going to be an experience unlike any other. This was Vybz machine's first sound clash out a road. As we can recall, On June 3 rd of last year Vybz Machine battled Gangsta Shack at club Safari in an intense dub fi dub spin off. Vybz Machine was victorious and became known as Pittsburgh's number one reggae sound.

            November 5 th , 2006 Pittsburgh's number one sound took their title and defended their city against three other sound systems-- Echo sound from Columbus, OH, Star Temple from Cleveland, OH, and Roots Rock from Detroit, MI in a straight juggling, no dubs what so ever sound clash in Columbus, Ohio.

            The competition was set up in a series of five juggling rounds. The first round was an introduction round in which each sound presented their style to the audience. In the second round, one sound had to be eliminated. The round was ten minutes per sound and in the end the people voted. Echo sound was eliminated. Round three, Vybz Machine, Star Temple and Roots Rock were left; this would be another intense ten minute battle. In the end the people wanted Vybz machine and Star Temple to face off in the finals.

            In the finals each sound received two sessions of five minutes prior to the voting. The first session was sticky because both sounds acknowledge the people and their desire to "get jiggy." In the end of the final session, Vybz machine was indisputably the people's choice. Vybz Machine's strategy was to yield up every individual and entity in the crowd, the elders, the gangsta's, the ladies and most importantly the Most High.

            Another victory for Vybz Machine and family who made the trip one that will go down in Vybz Machine's archive. Congratulations again Vybz Machine for proving yet again that they are truly Pittsburgh's number one sound system.
